Maryann was such a sweet lady, I always sat near her and Clarence at church, either beside, or infront of them. The funniest part was when he could not hear and he would say, "What did she say?", and Maryann would tell Clarence to "hush", because we all heard him. They reminded me so much of my parents, I just loved both of them. We will miss Maryann at church, and Mary Martha, and all the wonderful stories she had to tell. She was so sweet, when my own mom died about 18 months ago, she sent me a note, and it meant a lot. God Bless Maryann's family. I will miss her, too. Warm regards, Carolyn Hoxton I took this picture at church, a few years ago, and you can just see how happy these two are.

I have many fond memories of Maryann. I was the junior high counselor from 1976-1973. I do remember when she and I “rescued “ her young grandchild who had locked herself in her house and couldn’t get out. Sorry about the broken window! I offer solace to her family. I know she rests comfortably in God’s abode.

We came to know Maryann as the piano teacher for our grandchildren. Maryann was not just their teacher; but would make sure they always had snacks when she knew they were coming to lessons directly from school or sports. Her smile was infectious and her love for her students and her music was always visible. Our grandchildren developed a love for the piano and keyboard through her teaching that they will carry throughout their lives; and we delighted in watching them grow and perform in the many venues Maryann arranged; including playing duets with them as part of the programs. She not only taught them; but touched all of our hearts in the manner in which she did so. They and many others were truly "her kids". We also have such great memories of her husband always being there to help her set up or serve refreshments with each recital. She leaves a legacy of love.

Maryann created light for all who knew her. Her giggle and smile that nearly closed her eyes are two things forever in my memory. She was absolutely selfless in giving her time to the school arts programs and brought in two stellar performers in her grandkids, Liana and Justin. I was so fortunate to know her.

To Barb, Sharla and Jan,
So sorry for your loss. Your mother was always "sweet and kind". Her smile was infectious. :)
I will forever cherish my memories of being warmly welcomed into your home on many occasions for slumber parties!!
How your parents "put up with" us crazy girls singing, dancing, and carrying on in your living room is beyond me.
Truly your mother was "beautiful inside and out".
May God be very near you during this most difficult time to provide comfort and peace.
All my love,
Janet Collins

Dear Barb and Family,
I was so sorry to hear about you Mom’s passing. I met Maryann as my boys passed through the WB Schools. She was always so helpful, pleasant and caring and always had a smile on her face! I enjoyed our chats whenever we ran into each other in WB! Maryann was a very special lady and will be missed by so many! You are all in our thoughts and prayers!
With much sympathy,
Lynn and Jerry Clayton

I have often said to Maryann and Clarence that they shaped my life as a young man. Maryann was always such a delight to talk with and I will miss her dearly. Unfortunately we will be out of town and will miss the visitation and service. Please know that your family will be in my thoughts as you say goodbye to this wonderful soul. Prayers to you during this time of remembrance.- John

Your Mother was my Mothers best friend{Vivian Howard}. Your Mother and I talked several times about how they visited every day. I was so sorry to hear about her passing. My Mother talked about Maryann a lot and how they had known each other for many years, Your Mother gave me some great photos from their high school days, some with my father in them also. I so enjoyed visiting with your Mom by phone or letter.
