Extending my deepest sympathy to the family. Jack was such a special man. He was always there to help my dad when he was stumped working on his old tractors. Once in awhile he'd just stop in the farm to see what "Dotty" was up to and I think to tease me. Dad and he were friends for so many years and had so much fun together bowling and playing euchre. Always had a smile and he and Janet always seemed genuinely happy to see me and visit when I'd see them on my trips back to Iowa. RIP

The Iowa Tractor Pulling Association sends its deepest sympathy to Jack’s family. He was a pioneer in the pulling arena. He was. 2003 Hall of Fame Inductee and well remembered driving his Cockshutt tractor he called “Super Cock”. May you be comforted knowing your past pulling family keeps you in our prayers.

This is a sad occasion in the Riley household. Jack and Janet were our neighbors after they moved to town from the farm. While we were on vacation he had three pine trees cut down between our houses and boy did that change the view. We became great friends and often shared desserts in the evenings to satisfy his ONE sweet tooth. Even though Linda's cherry crisp was never sweet enough! We had two mixers that didn't work very well and he used parts from one to fix the other one. He could fix anything! We could always talk sports and he wasn't afraid to express his opinion. We had a great visit just 2 weeks ago over a good pizza. We will miss him greatly and will keep Janet and his family in our prayers.

Oh my heart hurts for you all. Jack is one of the best guys that ever walked thru the doors of caseys general store. I had so much fun with him in my 14 years in west liberty. From his mean dog that scared me,, to his red man,, . Jack always had a smile on his face.. What a great man. Rip jack sprat.

There wasn’t a day that went by Jack didn’t drive past our home to his farm. Twice a day I got to see him. Every time I would run, he would stop and talk to me and always tell me “
You’re gonna wear those treads off your shoes, if you keep running like that” I’m going to miss seeing him!! ❤️❤️
