I remember John’s birthday celebrations at school with such joy. I think because my birthday was in the summer, he would send me a letter and always found a way to make it feel personal. Such a deeply caring and loving man. He will be missed by many. Godspeed.

Thinking of you today. John gave me hope for each new school year on the first day of workshop when he would say, This will be the best year yet!

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Langenhan's passing. He was a sweet, caring, dedicated principal at Hoover Elementary
School in West Branch, as I began my teaching career. I remember him spending quality time with students at
recess, and celebrating our birthdays with his artistically designed birthday buttons. I am sure he is now in the
loving arms of the Lord.

John, I’m sad to hear of the passing of your dad. I only met him a couple times but remember him as gracious and kind as well as committed to his love of John Adams! More importantly, I remember him as the man that Denny described with GREAT admiration and affection. I’m sure the whole family is greatly saddened and I send my condolences to you all.

Mr. Langenhan was the key administrator as I pursued my teaching career. He was so supportive, kind and always easy to talk to not to mention his role in guiding me through my years of educating. I'll always cherish his words, " and this will be the best year yet!", And reflect on his yearly buttons. My prayers and thoughts are with his whole family and know you will cherish all the memories as much as I. With love, Marilyn Culver

John Langenhan was an exceptional school administrator. I probably was influenced by him, as I became a public school administrator. Whenever I would return to West Branch I would visit with him at church. John was a caring man. He lived a long full life!
