It is heartbreaking that this lovely lady who could light a room up with her smile has been taken from us. Heaven rewards those that have burdens on earth like she did. When I came to West Branch from the country school Carol befriended me and we were so close all thru junior high and high school. We are so sorry for your loss She was a great neighbor. Our dog went missing for two weeks, only to find out she had been hanging out the Johnston house. They thought she was going back and forth between our houses. Hugs and prayers to everyone.

I remember how close our families were when we were young. Leon and Jerry (Dad) we’re so close because they were the youngest 2 of 8 children.
I remember your family coming to visit & we went to a movie in a convertible that Larry drove or we would go to West Branch to Leon & Nelson’s beautiful home with the wonderful Basement with pool table & awesome bar!!! Our hearts are sad and want you to know our prayers are with you! Life goes by so quickly and now we are our parents age! Our prayers are with you!!! Love you all! Carol Ann was a beautiful person!

Mike and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Carol's passing.
We are taking comfort in the fact that she is no longer suffering. Free from pain and the debilitating disease that she so courageously faced and fought.
She will be deeply missed by so many!
I had the pleasure of having her as a hairstylist and friend for so many years. To be the God Mother to Michael and to watch her raise such an amazing family are things I reflect on and brings a smile!
So many amazing memories that I will always cherish. She was a beautiful soul and brightened every room that she was in.
My heart is breaking for you all and for all her extended family and friends.
She was one of a kind and we are so blessed to have been a part of her circle of friends. She is now at peace and visiting with Leon and Nelson. We know they were there to welcome her home!
