Such a tragedy for the Larson family. Losing two members of your family at the same time. I was a member of Eastern Star with Terri and enjoyed the time with her when we were officers at the same time. Our condolences to all the family. I was Bob’s Supervisor at Mercer, but more importantly his friend. We had so many conversations, and I often asked his advice with family things. Certain topics could get him pretty fired up, especially those of a political nature. I enjoyed hearing his perspective, he gave a lot of thought and research into forming his opinions. He always spoke so highly and lovingly about Terri. His quote that will always stick with me was ‘happy wife, happy life’....and then he’d give a huge grin! Such a great man, loving husband and cared so much for his children and grandchildren. His work area had a lot of family pictures. After he retired he would call in periodically to see how his accounts were doing, if we were keeping up and things were still in order. Of course those conversations would lead back to personal things; the growing grandchildren, Duluth, get togethers, etc. Such an interesting man.
My heart goes out to the Larson family, so very very sad and praying for all of you.

I worked with Bob at Mercer. I worked in the IT department and wanted to job shadow other departments and so they paired me up with Bob; I believe it was shortly before he retired. I will never forget how kind he was. He was someone you could sit and talk with for hours. I recall a carrier calling him the day I was training with him and he told me that they had never met in person, but him and his wife were driving up north and would be driving through the area in which this person lived and that he was going to meet them for lunch. I remember him saying they had had so many conversations on the phone that it felt like they already knew each other. I’ll never forget that.
I imagine Bob’s wife was just as wonderful as him. The universe lost some great people that day.
