Dear Cornwall Family,
We just wanted to let you know that our prayers are with you during this time. We both have fond memories of George from our years at Bethany beginning in the late fifties. George was a wonderful influence on our early Christian lives. I imagine George is having a glorious time worshiping his Lord & Savior along with Carolyn's parents, Ott & Millie Sees.

Avis and Family,
I recall meeting both you and George at Bethany Church
when you did a lot with the young people. I was one of those young people. Your faith has rewarded many of us. I too wish to say, when George was still coaching Bab Ruth and I was one of his assistance's he was a great leader, as well as coach to many young men in their learning years of life. May your whole Family know, you are in our prayers and thoughts!
God Bless,
Gene & Phyllis

George was the true definition of a role model. He coached all 4 of our sons in Babe Ruth and we couldn't have been happier with his great examples of sportsmanship and class he showed everyday. We have many great memories of George that we'll always remember. Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to all of his family.

To the Cornwall Family.
I was saddened to hear that George has passed away. Please know that you have my sincerest sympathies.
I was one of the many Babe Ruth ballplayers who had the pleasure to play on one of George's teams. I must say that George, with Doug as his assistant, provided me with some of my best adolecent memories of playing baseball in Iowa City. I couldn't have asked for a better coaching staff that made playing baseball such a fun and joyus occasion. Win or lose, we always had fun.
George will certainly be missed but please take comfort in knowing what a positive impact he made on so many young men who shared his affinity for baseball. For that I want to thank you for allowing us to be part of your family. May he rest in peace.
