West Branch, Iowa Brian David Hoffman, 47, died Sunday October 25, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday October 29, 2009 at the West Branch United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3 to 7 P.M. at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Burial will be in the West Branch Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Brian was born June 8, 1962 in Iowa City the son of Thomas and Patricia Rogers Hoffman. He was a graduate of West Branch High School in the Class of 1980. On June 19, 1982 Brian married the love of his life Marilyn “Kitty” Manning at the Rochester United Methodist Church. Brian was always a dedicated employee, working for Louis Rich Foods in West Liberty, Sauer Danfoss in West Branch and most recently Protek Medical Products in Coralville. He was a member of the West Branch United Methodist Church. His passions were his family, fishing, and football. He was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Vikings and the West Branch Bears. He was also a volunteer statistician for the West Branch Bears football team for the last eight years. Brian is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife Marilyn “Kitty” Hoffman of West Branch. Two daughters: Taryn (Matthew) McGuire of North Liberty and Kelsey Hoffman of West Branch. Sister Sharon (Jim) Kendall of Moberly, Missouri and Brother Bret Hoffman of West Branch. Also surviving are a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
