My brother John was so incredibly special to me. We were just a year apartment age. He didn't have any children of his own, but his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews he looked at them like a parent looks at a child. The picture below is one of my favorite pictures of us, neither one of us look great in it but our smiles say it all. Johnny I'm really gonna miss you, the house is so quiet without you. Tell my other brothers I said Hi and that I love and miss them... And give mom and dad a big hug from me.

I am so sorry for your loss my Holbrook cousins. I remember most of you when you were young. Of course, I am from the "older" generation of cousins, but I remember the family fire in West Liberty and having a few of the boys stay with us. Sorry to see that John has passed away. I met John when he worked at John's Grocery back in the 80's. He was such a funny guy and sweet as can be. I was pregnant while I worked there and he was always willing to help me reach things or lift things - just a delight to be around. My condolences to his family on this sudden loss. RIH John!
