West Branch, Iowa David “Dave” Dean Day, 78, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Pearl Valley Rehab and Nursing Center in Muscatine. No services are planned. Inurnment will be at a later date. Dave was born May 2, 1942 the son of Ralph and Bertha (Uthe) Day. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Dave was united in marriage to Marie Naber, they had one daughter Tina and later divorced. For over 30 years he worked as a farm foreman for a large family farm in Arizona, South Dakota and Oklahoma. He was a Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed watching and attending National Rodeo Events. In 2011 he moved to West Branch to be near his daughter Tina, and in 2017 to Tipton where he remained until moving to Pearl Valley Rehab in September 2020. He is survived by his daughter: Tina (Gary) Stewart of West Branch. 4 grandchildren: Riana Stewart, Damian Stewart, Devon Knebel and Marisa Knebel and her fiancé Jordon Weber. Six siblings: Pete “Leroy” of Webster City, Iowa, Ron of Minnesota, Steve of Colorado, Carl of Williams, Iowa, Kenny of South Dakota and Sharon of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronald.
