I'm really sorry to hear about Dave's death. Although I hadn't seen him in over forty-five years, we were good friends in elementary and and middle school. One of my favorite memories was skipping out of school to go to Iowa City in October 1972 to attend a rally for George McGovern at the UI campus. As I recall, Dave's dad gave us a ride there but we didn't have a ride home. Dave told me not to worry, that we would see someone we knew from West Liberty and get a ride. Sure enough, that's what we did.
These are terrible times and a lot of people are suffering. I'm really sorry for your loss.
