Davenport, Iowa Steven Lysle Hartley, 78 passed away on Saturday Sept. 5th 2020. Steven was born August 12, 1942 and raised in Burlington, Iowa where his parents owned a Servisoft Soft Water Service Business and he graduated from Notre Dame High School. He served in the army as a Nuclear Weapons Maintenance Instructor. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Business Administration and went on to earn a master’s degree from Truman State University in counseling. He was the first President of AFSME Local 3012 in Cedar Rapids, IA and held several professional positions in social work throughout his career. Steve was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife, Patty A. Hartley, His daughter Mrs. Sara A. Tomassi, His Son in Law Seth A. Tomassi, and their children, Shayna, Spencer and Sawyer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lysle M. Hartley, Coleta F. (Hartley) Keister, his stepfather Henry J. Keister and first wife Suzanne A. (Parello) Hartley. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the West Branch Municipal Cemetery in West Branch, Iowa with a celebration of life to follow.
