Muscatine, Iowa Vivian Calvert Mills Wonderlich, 89, formerly of West Liberty, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Muscatine Care Center in Muscatine. Services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Visitation will be 4:00-9:00PM on Friday September 11, 2009 at the funeral home. Vivian was born on October 31, 1919 in West Liberty, the daughter of Vincent and Hattie McGowan Calvert. She was united in marriage to Milburn “Mike” Mills on December 7, 1935 in Iowa City, they later divorced. They operated many restaurants in the West Liberty area, including Twin Gables. She was employed with Mercy Hospital in Iowa City and the Henry County Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. She later married Lloyd Wonderlich on December 30, 1978 in Mt. Pleasant. She is survived by her 7 children: Beverly (Paul) Freyermuth of Muscatine; Gaylord (Debra) Mills of Muscatine; Darrell (Ann) Mills of Lafayette, Louisiana; Cassandra (Wendell) Allen of Yarmouth, IA; Christine (Duane) Schlabach of Parnell, IA; Sid (Pam) Mills of Iowa City; and Van (Diane) Mills of Henderson, Nevada; 3 sisters: Dorothy Frans of Muscatine; Maxine (Stan) Toussaint of Dallas, Texas; and Ruth (Paul) Fitchner of Illinois; 2 brothers: Kenneth (Virginia) Calvert of Davenport and Cecil (Maxine) Calvert of Muscatine. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 87 great grandchildren, and 22 great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Lloyd, 3 brothers: Lysle, Virgil, and Donald; 3 grandsons and 1 great great-granddaughter.
