Muscatine, Iowa Joseph J. Miller, 84, died Friday May 9, 2014 at the Lutheran Home in Muscatine. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memory Gardens in Iowa City. A memorial fund has been established. Joseph was born March 27, 1930, the son of Jacob B. and Katie Schrock Miller. He served in the United States Army as well as the United States Air Force from 1956-1957. He was employed as a truck driver and drove for Amana for 27 years. Joseph was united in marriage to Iona “Onie” Miller on February 9, 1991 in Iowa City, Iowa. He was a member of American Legion Post 17 in Iowa City. He is survived by his wife Iona “Onie” Miller of Muscatine, his children: Sharon Lesko of Denver, CO, Joyce (Bob) Etheridge of Belle Plaine, Iowa, Bob Miller of Atlanta, Georgia, Leonard (Judy) Herlein of Iowa City, Dale (Susan) Ross of Wilton, Iowa, Barb Irwin of West Liberty, Iowa and Roxanne (Jeff) Veigelt of Riverside, Iowa. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 6 sisters and twin brothers who died at birth.
