West Liberty, Iowa Madge Madaline Lenz, 85, died Wednesday April 30, 2014 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Saturday May 3, 2014 at the West Liberty Community Center, 1204 N. Calhoun St. West Liberty. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice or Camp Courageous at Monticello. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. Madge was born August 23, 1928 in Monticello, Iowa the daughter of Herman and Mattie Nederhouser Schneiter. She grew up in Delaware County and attended country school. She was a graduate of Monticello High School. On July 11, 1971 she was united in marriage to Ivan Lenz at Peace United Church of Christ in Monticello. She was a member of the Nichols United Methodist Church and the UMW. She taught Sunday School and played the piano for many years in Monticello. She was a member of the South Prairie Social Club for many years. She helped on the farm until she and Ivan retired in December 2003. She is survived by her husband Ivan of West Liberty. Nieces Connie Edwards of Monticello, Colleen and Corrine Schneiter of Hiawatha, Colette Knoll of Stanwood and nephew Calvin Schneiter of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by brother and sister in laws, Leonard and Darlene Lenz of West Liberty, Elmo and Virginia Kron of Riverside, Clarence and Darlene Lenz of Lone Tree. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Guy and Howard.
