Curt will truly be missed. Responding with West Branch Fire Department / First Responder you could almost guarantee whether it was a West Liberty Fire truck or West Liberty Ambulance coming to meet with us Curt was going to be on it with his helpful smile. I am just sorry that I didn't get on West Liberty Ambulance soon enough to get to work with Curt a lot. I do love working with Zach and I know his family will carry on his great name. Prayers go to the family and know that we are always here for you..

Curt donated so much of his time and skills to West Liberty Community with being a fire chief for 10 years, fire fighter, EMT, and more. He was usually on a call when a call came in for the ambulance. Curt will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers for his family.

My heartfelt condolences to his family. I worked with him at Alpens years ago and dealt with him for service there. He was always upbeat and helpful. I remember at Alpens we did cakes for birthdays and I would always put all the extra frosting on a plate just for him to eat. I not sure how he could eat all that but maybe that was where he got his extra sweetness.
Prayers for the family..

Curt was a great dad. I enjoyed our times together as we all watched our kids grow up together. What a blessing for you all to have had him in your lives as a husband, dad, and son. Pull out your favorite photos of times you spent together and lay them all over your house. When the tough memories come, go look at the photos and replace the tough memories with the happy ones. We wish we could tell you in person how much we feel for you all.

The natural order of life means we anticipate burying our parents. Having to bury a child throws that natural order off. Our sympathy and prayers go out for the whole family and extended family. May God's love comfort, support, and heal you as this new grief journey begins. Sincerely, Gary and Anita Burnett
