West Liberty, Iowa Pepón Roman Aragón, 60, passed away December 23, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral mass will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, December 28, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 8 P.M. at the Church. Burial will be held at a later date in Mexico. Alejandro was born July 8, 1959 in Ignacio, Allende Durango Mexico the son of Jose and Rosa (Aragón) Roman. Pepón was united in marriage to Maria Zavala. He had been employed at Tyson Foods in Columbus Junction. He loved spending time with his family, dance, and played the saxaphone and guitar, playing soccer and traveling with his family in the summer. Survivors include his wife Maria, three daughters: Isela, Alina and Aneth, three grandchildren: Yazlinne, Scarlett and Leo. Four siblings also survive. His parents and one brother Juan preceded him in death.
