Phyllis Beach, 97, died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.
Private family services will be held. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Phyllis was born February 22, 1917, the daughter of Glen and Alma Pinney Walker. She was united in marriage to Chet Beach on March 10, 1937 in Aledo, Illinois.
She was a charter member of the West Liberty Golf and Country Club. She was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son Jerry (Karen) Beach of West Liberty, two grandchildren: Tracy Beach of Denton, Texas and Tami (Mike) Roth of Nichols, five great grandchildren: Lauren and Matt Roth of Nichols, and Andie, Keelie and Chett Beach living in Texas, and a sister Lois Kirby of West Liberty.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chet, brothers: Wayne, Lloyd, Lyle, Jim, Gaylord and Kenneth Walker, and sisters: Gladys Bach and Audrey VeDepo.
