Harvey and I were students at West Branch Jr High, '65 to '66. He was humorous and quick-witted even then...as well as being a Farmer. Not surprised to learn that he remained loyal to Iowa, Farming, and People!
(I'm still the guy he went to school with, but I changed my first name from Kim to Kenneth many years ago)

Dear Joetta,
I was shocked as I am sure most were to learn of Harvey's fate. My sincerest sympathy to you and yours. I remember well the times when Margot & I were able to tailgate with you and your friends. What fun we had, and I feel richer for having known you and Harvey! It's been almost eight years since Margot's death. They say that time heals, but it's still hard. I have found that by remembering the good times and taking one day at a time certainly helps.
I still try to stay active. You may recall that we used to do a lot of travelling, sometimes to really strange places. Well, I still enjoy going on tours, cruises or whatever happens to be available, and like I said, just take it one day at a time.
Even tho it has been quite a while since we have been together, but I still treasure our friendship. Whenever you might be in the area, please feel free to contact me as I would welcome the opportunity to visit. I know that you have many friends and they wiil be a great comfort to you.
May God bless you and yours, with LOVE, Don

This came as such a shock; I cannot imagine the pain you are all feeling.
Harvey was so full of life and it is very difficult to think of our earthly world without him it in. We are definitely better people for having known him.
When we think about Harvey we can't help but smile. He loved life and was able to create a sense of fun in every situation. Can you imagine the conversation taking place between him and St Peter right about now!?! Even in his death, Harvey will find the humor and bring laughter to the situation. He was a good man with a solid gold heart and we can rest assured that heaven's angels are singing with great joy as they welcome him into his eternal home.
To Harvey's family - please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. He was an amazing person that touched every heart in a positive way. We will miss him always.
God Bless and Keep You.
