Ernesto Estrada, 47, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at his home in West Liberty , surrounded by his loving wife, children, siblings, family and friends.

A funeral mass will be held at 7:00PM on Monday, August 24, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in West Liberty. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Mexico . A memorial fund has been established.

Ernesto was born January 20, 1962 in Ignacio Allende , Durango , Mexico , the son of Juan and Agustina Alvarez Estrada. He was employed as an asphalt machine operator. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He is survived by his parents: Juan and Agustina Estrada of Mexico , his wife: Manuela Estrada of West Liberty; daughters: Yajahira (Alvaro) Aleman and Cindy Estrada, both of West Liberty ; and grandchildren: Lazaro, Lizbeth, and Aribeth. He is also survived by brothers: Juan Jose Estrada of Mexico , Joel Estrada of Mexico , Samuel Estrada of West Liberty, Erick M. Estrada of West Liberty, and sisters: Martha Montelongo of Mexico, Elvia Verdinez of Mexico and Rosaura Montelongo of Iowa City.
