West Liberty, Iowa Suzanne Edith Wilson, 74, died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Following her wishes, no formal services are scheduled. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established. Suzanne was born July 23, 1939 in Marshall, Minnesota the daughter of Adrian and Janice Flynn Wilson. In 1942 they returned to West Liberty to operate the Wilson family farm. She graduated from West Liberty High School in 1957 and attended the University of Iowa. In 1960 she moved out west where she became a stewardess for United, and then Hughes Air-West airlines ultimately settling in Seattle to raise her family. After 21 years in the airline industry she moved back To West Liberty to care for her parents in 1986. She became an upholsterer and made that her livelihood both in West Liberty and in Seattle when she and her mother moved back west in 1994. She had a great passion for genealogy and Iowa history and was one of the early members of the West Liberty Historical Society. She loved gardening, animals, reading, and hiking the mountains, rainforests, and beaches of the Pacific Northwest with her long time canine companion Angel. She is survived by three children: Carey Zebley of Lehi, Utah, Chuck Cotter (location unknown) and Stewart (Roberta) Hodge of West Liberty. 7 grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Mallory, Michelle, & Mitchell Zebley of Seattle Washington, Morgan and Stewart Kaden Hodge of West Liberty, and her Sister, Barb (Phil) Wamba of Federal Way, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Van Kirk Wilson.
