Genevieve Stella “Grandma Gen”  Angersola, 88, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at her home in West Branch.

Family services were held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Burial was in the West Branch Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com.

Genevieve was born March 14, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of John and Katarzyna Morstyn Prykan. On March 11, 1949 she was united in marriage to Robert Angersola.

Grandma Gen did childcare in her home for many years. Later in life she learned to play the keyboard and became very proficient.  She even played in many recitals. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing board games, cards and dice games with her family and more recently with her great grandchildren. She enjoyed cheering on her Cleveland Indians and watching Iowa Basketball.

Survivors include two sons: Kenneth (Molly) Angersola of Urbandale, Iowa and Leonard Angersola of West Branch. Grandchildren: Carla (James) Apodaca of Iowa City, Joseph Angersola of Roswell, GA, Michael Angersola (Jenna Logan and children Cale and Kamryn ) of Grimes, Iowa. Great grandchildren Abigail and Santiago Apodaca of Iowa City and Bodhi and Caleb Angersola of Roswell, Ga.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Sr. in 2007, son Robert Jr. in 2012 and siblings Adele Mannino, Lillian Davis Pavlovic, Eleanor Kerr, Henry Prykan and Edward Prykan.
