Obituary of Nancy Elaine Sickels

Nancy Elaine Sickels, 77, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Windmill Manor Nursing Home in Coralville.

Funeral service will be held 4:00 P.M. Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 P.M. at the funeral home. Nancy was  born February 5, 1940 in Burlington the daughter of  Eldon and Bernice Riddle Smith. On June 23, 1957 she was united in marriage to Darrell Edward Sickels.

She enjoyed music, playing the organ and especially loved her family and grandchildren.  

Survivors include three children: Kirt (Debra) Sickels of West Liberty, Kimberly (Robert) Strunk of Denmark, Iowa and Kelli Touch (Tom Burch) of Burlington, Iowa. 2 Step sons: Darrel (Chris) Cornell of Big Bear, Calif and Kevin (Kelly) Cornell of Oceanside, Calif. Grandchildren: Mindy (Paul) Sickels Sterbenz of West Liberty, Jenny Haley of Burlington, Allen (Cassandra) Sickels of Wilton, Christy (Damian) Bardell of West Liberty, Heather (Lucas) Woodsmall of Burlington, Branden Touch of Burlington, Josh (Kelsey) Clark of Sperry, Stephanie Touch (Jake Houston) of Burlington, Step grandchildren all of California Kirstie (Matt) Bourne, Krystal Cornell, Cameron Cornell, Kaitlyn Masiko, Darrell Cornell and Shannon Cornell. 16 great grandchildren and a brother Adrian (Marianna) Smith of Rapid City, Ill. also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband and an adopted sister Angie Smith.
