Harold D. Lodge, 86, passed away Wednesday March 6, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
A private family graveside service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice in Harold’s name. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements.
Harold was born on December 5, 1926 in Cedar County, Iowa the son of John Max and Mary (Arnold) Lodge and grew up on the family farm.
After serving in the US Army during WWII, Harold farmed for many years. Harold was a graduate of West Branch High School in 1944. On September 16, 1956 he was united in marriage to the former Margaret Jacobsen in West Branch.
He is survived by Margaret his wife of 56 years; daughters, Janine (Mark) Sears of Tijeras, New Mexico; Lori (Steve) Hefflefinger of Corning, Iowa; and Diane (Jim) Paige of Adel, Iowa; six grandchildren, Megan (Jason) Mitchell, Jason Hefflefinger, Benjamin Sears, Austin Paige, Jacob Paige and Erica Paige.
