West Branch, Iowa Geraldine “Jerri” Lucile Foraker, 87, died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Crestview Nursing and Rehab Center in West Branch. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the West Branch United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM, prior to the memorial service at the church. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial of cremains will be at the West Branch Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Jerri was born March 26, 1926 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of George and Laura Jacobson Rhodes. She later moved to Oregon where she graduated from Myrtle Creek High School. She was employed with the West Branch Animal Clinic for many years. Jerri was a member of the West Branch United Methodist Church and the Federated Club in West Branch. She enjoyed participating in the sporting events and activities that her children were involved with. She also enjoyed bowling and was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. She is survived by her son Tom (Amy) Foraker of Iowa City; daughters: Chris (Delanie Sullivan) Jensen of Huntington Beach, California and Larri Ann Foraker of Coralville; grandchildren: Sam (Lauren) Foraker, Elaine (Travis) Miller, Diane (Brad) Peden and Jake Klamerus and a son-in-law Don Secrest. She was preceded in death by her daughter Carol Secrest and brothers: Clifton Rhodes, Harry Rhodes, Kermit Rhodes, Chester Rhodes and Edgar Rhodes. Jerri's family would like to give a special thank you to Iowa City Hospice and the staff at the Crestview Nursing and Rehab Center in West Branch.
