West Branch, Iowa Edith H. Sinclair, 80, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at her home in West Branch. A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Springdale United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00PM on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Memorials may be made to Springdale United Methodist Church or the Boys Scouts of America. Online condolences may be made at hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. Edith was born March 10, 1932 in Corydon, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary Trumper Blocher. She graduated from Corydon High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Gerald Sinclair on June 22, 1951 in Corydon. Edith was the head cook for the West Branch School Systems for 19 years. She was a member of Springdale United Methodist Church. Edith is survived by two sons, Thomas (Shelly) Sinclair of McGregor and Brian (Deborah) Sinclair of Mt. Pleasant, one daughter, Catherine Sinclair of Iowa City; 8 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jason, Jennifer, Heather, Hannah, Mary, Rebecca, and Connor; 5 great grandchildren, Emma, Isabella, Quentin, Anthony and Maxwell; and one sister Norma Reuter of Topeka, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald, one sister and one brother.
