West Liberty, Iowa Alma Mae “Biddy” Felton, 95, died Sunday July 29, 2012 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. Alma was born December 19, 1916 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Adlow and Bertha Rogers Bothell. She was a graduate of West Liberty High School in 1934. On June 3, 1937 she was united in marriage to Clyde Felton. Biddy had been employed as a bookkeeper for many years, working for Pappenthien Motors, Wiele Chevrolet, H.D. Cline Co., Lawrence Accounting and before retiring from B. A. Horner Lincoln/Mercury in Iowa City. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters. In her younger years Alma was an avid women’s softball participant and continued her love of baseball as a longtime suffering Chicago Cubs fan. She also was an active supporter and contributor to Iowa Women’s Athletics. Survivors include her two children: Karen (Jerry) Beach of West Liberty and Doug (Barb) Felton of Elburn, Illinois. Three grandchildren: Tracy Beach of Denton, Texas, Tami (Mike) Roth of West Liberty and John Felton of Evanston, Illinois; 5 great grandchildren: Lauren and Matt Roth of West Liberty, Andie, Keelie and Chett Beach living in Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde and 6 brothers: Raymond, Eldon, Walter, Robert, Leroy and an infant brother.
