West Liberty, Iowa J. Virginia McVay, 92, of West Liberty, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. Virginia was born March 25, 1919 in Keswick, Iowa, the daughter of M. Elmer and Edith VanFossen Ladley. She graduated from Deep River High School in 1936. She was united in marriage to Lowell McVay on December 19, 1936 in New Sharon, Iowa. Virginia was employed as a hot lunch supervisor with West Liberty Schools for 26 years. She is survived by her daughter Connie (Richard) Neipert of West Liberty and son Terry (Pam) McVay of North Liberty, Iowa, a sister Lucille (Manus Cline) Simpson of Grinnell, 4 grandchildren: John Neipert of West Liberty, Lynn (Lance) Longstreth of Fruitland, Jayson (Betsy) McVay of West Liberty and Kelly (Josh) Morgan of Coralville, and 3 great grandchildren Taylor Longstreth, Rochelle Longstreth and Katie McVay. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell, daughter Pam, son Jerry and infant daughter Judith Ann.
