Lucile Harriett Reinsager, 91, passed away Saturday October 11, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday October 15, 2008 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty with visitation being held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Women.
Lucile was born November 6, 1916 in Muscatine the daughter of Garry Otis and Sina Erkson Thompson. She was a graduate of Muscatine High School in 1935. On June 20, 1937 she was united in marriage to Harry Reinsager. Harry and Lucy moved to West Liberty in 1947 and owned and operated the Crystal Café for 38 years, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, 50 year member and past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. Lucy was very active and enjoyed her coffee times with the girls and the time she was able to spend with her great grandchildren.
Survivors include one son: Thomas (Karyl) Reinsager of West Liberty. Three grandchildren: Tammy (Don) Boehme of West Liberty, Terry Reinsager and Ted Reinsager both of North Liberty. Three great grandchildren: Jacob, Nickolas and Zoey Boehme of West Liberty. Sister: Jeanne Barry of Muscatine and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Harry in 1970 and sister Shirley Paul.
