West Liberty, Iowa Paul J. Gingerich, 83, of Lone Tree and formerly of West Liberty passed away Saturday September 6, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday September 9, 2008 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Visitation will be held Monday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Paul was born January 5, 1925 in Kalona the son of Joe P. and Lula Stuztman Gingerich. He attended Fairview-Evergreen School in Kalona. On March 9, 1947 Paul was united in marriage to Darlene Mae Foote in Tipton. He farmed in the West Liberty area and later operated Gingerich Construction in West Liberty. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in West Liberty and a life-time member of the West Liberty Country Club. He is survived by two sons: Phil (Kathy) Gingerich and Charles (Cindy) Gingerich all of West Liberty. One daughter: Luanne (Greg) Johnson of Riverside. 6 Granchildren: Jason, Justin, Pat, Holly, Josh and Becky and 11 great grandchildren. Three sisters: Edna Dolan of Sigourney, Marge Gingerich of Kalona and Leona Boller of Kalona. Two brothers: Delmar Gingerich of McGregor and Don Gingerich of Stover, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Vesta Miller and Maretta Yoder.
