Clyde L. Felton, 94, of Legacy Pointe and formerly of West Liberty died Wednesday February 9, 2011 at the Iowa City Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Iowa City.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements.
Clyde was born September 21, 1916 in Iowa City the son of Carl and Mae Elder Felton. He was a graduate of West Liberty High School where he was a charter member of the F.F.A. He was united in marriage to Alma Bothell on June 3, 1937. Clyde was a longtime farmer in the West Liberty area.
Survivors include his wife Alma Felton of Iowa City. Two children: Karen (Jerry) Beach of West Liberty and Doug (Barb) Felton of Elburn, Illinois. Three grandchildren: Tracy Beach of Denton, Texas, Tami (Mike) Roth of West Liberty and John Felton of Evanston, Illinois; 5 great grandchildren: Lauren and Matt Roth of West Liberty, Andie, Keelie and Chett Beach living in Texas. He was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Call.
