West Branch, Iowa Kenneth P. Moore, 64, died Wednesday January 26, 2011 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City from lung cancer due to exposure of agent orange. Funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday January 31, 2011 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in West Branch. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Burial with military honors will be in St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery, Nolan Settlement rural West Branch. A memorial fund has been established. Kenny was born October 16, 1946 in Iowa City the son of Tom Moore III and Regina Pfieffer Moore. He was a graduate of West Branch High School and Bailey Technical College in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a US Army veteran serving with the 1st Calvary division in Vietnam. In 1969 Kenny and Patty Meyer were married at St. Bridgets. He had worked as a mechanic at UPS, custom farmed, drove truck and worked in pipeline business as a Teamster. He was a member of the Morse Community Club. Enjoyed his Harley and riding with friends, spending time with his family and friends especially his granddaughter Victoria. He loved to hunt and had a great appreciation and love for his guns. Survivors include two sons: Tim (Candice) Moore of North Liberty and Matt (Meagan) Moore of West Branch;. Granddaughter: Victoria Moore; The love of his life Patty Moore of Tipton. Father: Tom Moore III, sisters: Sharon Moore of Boone, Iowa and Martha (Steve) Davis of Des Moines, Iowa. Also surviving is his faithful companion Gunner. He was preceded in death his mother and younger brother John Edward.
