West Liberty, Iowa Ted Richardson, 80, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, January 7, 2010 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty officiated by Pastor Betsey Neipert. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00PM on Thursday, January 6, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. Ted was born August 1, 1930 in Columbus Junction, Iowa, the son of Clayton and Ellen Selsser Richardson. He served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean Conflict. Ted was united in marriage to Kathleen Jarrett on June 21, 1953 at the Cedar Valley United Methodist Church. Ted owned and operated Richardson’s Plumbing for over 40 years in West Liberty. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed giving fruit baskets to his many customers around Christmas time. Ted was dedicated to his work and customers. Ted is survived by his wife Kathleen of West Liberty, 2 sons Daryl Richardson of Atalissa and Larry (Leanna) RIchardson of Muscatine, 3 granddaughters Heather, Peggy and Nicole, 2 step-grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters Barb (Ken) Bland of Wilton and Lea (Kenneth) Hartman of Wapello. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, 1 granddaughter, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
