Lillian Nelson James, 103, died August 29, 2010 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.
Cremation rites were accorded. A small memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty with Pastor Mario Padilla officiating. A memorial fund has been established with the Carrie Tesdahl Nelson Loan Fund, Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa or First Church United, West Liberty.
Lillian was born November 28, 1906 near Ames, Iowa the daughter of George and Caroline Tesdahl Nelson.
She is survived by two children: Floyd (Marilyn) James of Cedar Falls and Elaine (Howard) Norman of Freeport, Illinois. Four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Curtis R. James, and brothers and sisters.
