West Branch, Iowa Marjorie “Marge” Pedersen, 86, died Friday July 2, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday July 7, 2010 at Bethany Lutheran Church in West Branch. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Burial will be in the West Branch Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church. Marjorie was born December 24, 1923 in West Branch the daughter of Leslie and Alma Christensen Dudley. She was a graduate of West Branch High School. On June 14, 1943 she was united in marriage to Cleo Pedersen. Cleo and Marge farmed in the West Branch area for many years. She also had attended cosmetology school and operated Marge’s Beauty Shop. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Ruth Circle, past member of Order of Eastern Star, Self Culture Club, Red Hat Society and Card Club and sewing club. Survivors include three sons: Steven (Pat) Pedersen of Adel, Iowa, Dean (Annie) Pedersen of West Liberty and Robert (Deanna) Pedersen of West Liberty. 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, sister: Janet Salchenberg of Salem, Oregon. She is also survived by her longtime friend Betty Burton of West Branch. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Cleo.
