West Liberty, Iowa Cletus J. Kaska, 80, of West Liberty died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday May 26, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty. The family will greet friends at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty from 5 to 7 P.M., where a vigil service will be held at 5 P.M on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington, Iowa. In lieu of flowers please remember your favorite charity. Cletus was born November 27, 1929, in Pleasant Plain, Iowa the son of Frank M. and Helen Zaharris Kaska. He was united in marriage to Virginia Griggs on April 1, 1951 in Washington. Clete served in the US Navy from 1951-1955. He farmed in Washington and Muscatine counties until his retirement. Clete is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughter, Sondy (Jerry) Kinnamon of Iowa City; son, David (Ann) Kaska and granddaughter Abby, of Atalissa; and son-in-law, Fabian Destafano of Ambato, Ecuador. He is also survived by siblings, Marian Pohlit of Loveland, Colorado; Ardell (Lyola) Kaska of Fairfield, Iowa; Marcella Greiner of Washington; Walter (Lois) Kaska of Denver, Colorado; Larry (Dorothy) Kaska of Muscatine; Ron (Linda) Kaska of Mt. Pleasant; Ernest (Darlene) Kaska of Denver, Colorado; Kay (Jerry) Swain of Sarasota, Florida; and Connie (Dave) Staebell of Denver, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Christine; brothers, Merlin Kaska and Gale Kaska; and sister Clarabelle Durian.
