Herbert Parry passed away peacefully at his home May 10, 2010 in Atalissa, IA.
A visitation will be held 3:00-5:00PM on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty.
Herb was born on the family farm on April 15, 1924 to Harry C. and Maude (Rockefeller) Parry.
He graduated from West Liberty High School in 1942. On October 14, 1945 he married Virginia
F. O’Haver in Iowa City, IA. The couple farmed in Muscatine County.
Herb enjoyed doing woodworking, reading his newspaper and riding his lawn mower. Bishop,
his dog, was his constant companion.
He is survived by his wife, four children, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
