Michael E. Driskell, 68, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on January 24, 2010 at his home in Suffolk, Virginia, surrounded by his family.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:00PM on Monday May 3, 2010 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in West Liberty, Iowa. Visitation will be 10:30AM-12:00 PM prior to the graveside service at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Memorial Donations may be made in Michael Driskell's name to Sentara Home Care Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

He was born in Creston, Iowa to Donald and Agnes Driskell, the eldest of three boys. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Chemical Engineering.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Mary H Reier Driskell, his father and his brother Patrick.

He is survived by his children; daughter Elizabeth Driskell of NJ, son John Driskell and wife Clare of Texas, daughter Susan and husband GySgt James Spangler of Hawaii, and son Daniel Driskell of Virginia and 8 grandchildren Ryan, Samantha, Erin, Abigail, Joseph, Johnathan, Lillianna, and Mary. Also surviving Mr. Driskell are his mother, his brother David Driskell and wife Ann, nieces, nephews and cousins.
