Larry L. Staley, 80 of Nichols, IA passed away on June 16, 2017, at his home, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Larry was born March 16, 1937 to James E. and Ethylnn R. (Lynnville) Staley in Muscatine, IA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Hawaii, following the Korean War. Larry married Jeanne Elizabeth Anderson on January 16, 1970 in West Liberty, IA. Larry retired in 2013. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his cats. Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with them. A Celebration of Life memorial gathering and luncheon will be held on July 15, 2017 from 11:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Nichols, IA. Larry is survived and loving remembered by his wife Jeanne of Nichols, IA, his children: Jim (Shelley) Staley, Mark Staley, Larry (Laura) Staley all of Omaha, NE, Barb (Jeff) Hylland of North Carolina, Pam Christie, Kelly (Tony) Loving of Nichols, IA and Keri (Shane) Blake of Nichols, IA, as well as numerous grand, great and great great grandchildren.
