West Branch, Iowa William K. “Bill” Jones, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017. A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday May 26, 2017 at the United Methodist Church in West Branch. Memorial visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. Memorial donations may be made to West Branch Public Library. Bill was born September 17, 1939 in Estherville, Iowa the son of Kyle C. and Eula (McQuigg) Jones. He was a graduate of Grinnell High School and later the University of Iowa with his B.B.A. On October 4, 1969 he was united in marriage to Carol Hagman in Homewood, Illinois. He had served in the US Army. Bill was a carpenter all his life, working for Knutson Construction, Miron Construction and was a member of Carpenters Local 1260. He worked on many University of Iowa Buildings. In his free time he enjoyed reading, traveling and time with his family. Survivors include his wife Carol of West Branch, daughter Susan (Jeff) Bricker of Fort Collins, Colorado, son Kyle (Fae) Jones of Riverside, Iowa. Four grandchildren: Karisa, Jack, Geoff and Emily Streb and a great grandson Hunter Hamer and his father Charlie. Sisters: Marjorie Jones and Linda (Charles) Hall, brother: David (Becka) Jones. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Margaret (Martin) Coggins and Sandra Hagman as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents and a brother Michael.
