I am very sorry to hear about Velma's passing. I will miss her very much and remember all the good times we had together. I am especially sad because I was looking forward seeing her in October, when I would be visiting Iowa and was planning to see her then too. My thought are with the family.

So sorry to hear this and at a loss for not attending the celebration. Velma was like no other! Jovial and faithful to no end. We will miss this light on Earth, but are hopeful the Heavens are brighter with her and Joe reunited. So glad to have had her in my life! I will miss her always.

from starting scouts (maybe brownies) I loved the caring and laughter of Velma. Scouting with Myrna was great! Oh and one more thing my Mom just out of college taught at Springville, and taught Velma (Velma always remembered to tell me) Then when I was at my first obgyn appointment, there was Velma, we seemed to have appointments the same days. Always looked forward to those appointments knowing I was going to get a lesson on motherhood. My husband never wanted to go and I told him to stay home Velma would be there. Well both of our daughters grew up to be very good friends, again learning motherhood from Velma. As you can tell Velma was very special to me thru different years of my life. The circle of life truly goes round. Love you Velma, give Joe a hug & love from the Linnell's

I was sad to learn of Velma's passing. I worked with her in Girl Scouts many years ago and knew her to be a very hard working lady who was always busy at something. I will miss seeing her walk by our house and waving hello.

Velma will be missed for so many reasons. I have wonderful memories of 'growing up' in your home and the fun we had in her scout troupe. She was such a loving and caring mom....I learned so much from her. My prayers are with her on this new journey. May she find peace with Joe. Hugs and love to all of you, Anne
