Nichols, Iowa Rogelio Galvan Jr., 63, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, December 4, 2015. A memorial service will be held 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. Rogelio was born September 22, 1952 in San Carlos, Mexico the son of Rogelio and Juanita (Villarreal) Galvan. On July 15, 1975 he was united in marriage to Esperanza Marcha in West Liberty. For many years he worked with his sons in construction. He loved his family and was always happy when the grandchildren were around. Survivors include his wife Esperanza of Nichols. Four children: Graciela (Cesar) Erives of Denver, Colorado, Julio (Michele) Galvan of West Liberty, Rogelio III (Jaime) Galvan of West Liberty and Veronica (Robert) Rivera of West Liberty. 12 Grandchildren: Breanna, Stephanie, Lisette Cesar, Alia, Arnie, Julio Jr, Marri, Vincent, Isaiah, Karli Galvan and Mayah Rivera. 9 Brothers and Sisters: Rosa Villarreal of Wisconsin, Juan Jose Galvan of West Liberty, Maricela Galvan of Eagle Pass, Texas, Arnulfo Galvan of West Liberty, Evelio Galvan of Eagle Pass, Texas, Marco Galvan of North Liberty, Mimi Partida of North Liberty, Norma Marquez of Denver, Colorado and Ruben Galvan of West Liberty. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Arnulfo and a brother Julio.
