I always liked Howard and before her death Celia. My mom, Goldie Hayes, liked him and had fun at breakfast with him and Bev. He was a very nice man, and Im sure he will be missed not only by his family but by everyone else who knew him as the nice person he was.

Your dad was a big part of the villages that raised a lot of kids in WL: the First Church United community, the school community, the business community, the service community. He leaves a wonderful legacy in each of those places and in the family he raised.

I will miss Howard and his cheerful question as we started breakfast. "How did the Cubs do yesterday ?" Or how much in the rain gauge?" He was our caller for Bingo loud and clear and sitting so that his lips could be read for one person who needed that help.Always a smile and a greeting.
