Life Legacy West Branch, Iowa Richard “Dick” Anderson, 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday August 25, 2015 at the Crestview Care and Rehab Center in West Branch. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Friday, August 28, 2015 at the West Branch United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home West Branch. Burial will be in the West Branch Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charities of your choice. Dick was born July 27, 1923 in Iowa City the son of Harley and Lillian Speight Anderson. He was a graduate of West Branch High School in the class of 1941. On June 25, 1944 Dick was united in marriage to Marie Wolf at the United Methodist Church in West Branch. He was a lifelong farmer and an active member of the community. Survivors include his wife Marie of West Branch. Sons: Rick (Carole) Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Barry (Carolyn) Anderson of West Branch and Dean (Elaine) Anderson of Tipton, daughter Julie (David) Sinclair of Lees Summit, Missouri. Nine grandchildren: Heath, Blake, Kalle, Duston, Kirk, Clinton, Katrina, Seth, Benton and seven great grandchildren. A sister Marilyn (Maynard) Suchomel of Loveland, Colorado also survives. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Dorothy and Hubert.
