Life Legacy West Branch, Iowa Thomas L. Budreau, 84, died Monday March 16, 2015 at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City. Funeral mass will be held 10 A.M. Friday March 20, 2015 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in West Branch. Visitation will be Thursday 4 to 8 P.M. at St. Bernadette Church with a rosary to be recited at 7:30. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cedar Valley. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. A memorial fund has been established. Thomas Leo Budreau was born March 14, 1931 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Leo and Mary Neider Budreau. He was a graduate of City High School in Iowa City in 1950 and served in the United States Air Force for 6 years. On November 11, 1961 Tom was united in marriage to the former Marcella Driscoll in Tipton. Tom had been employed with the United States Postal Service for all his life retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in West Branch and the Chauncey Butler American Legion Post in West Branch. Tom enjoyed his grandchildren, reading, playing cards, fishing and hunting mushrooms. Survivors include his wife Marcy Budreau of West Branch. Two sons: Tim (Mary) Budreau of Deer Park, Illinois and Troy (Amy) Budreau of West Branch; Three grandchildren: Kristen, Amanda and Jeremy. Sister Sherry Budreau of Laguna Hills, California; Son-in-law: Jeff Salm of Iowa City; Sister-in-law: Shirley Budreau of Cedar Rapids; Brother-in-law: Don Paul of West Branch. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tammy Salm, 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
