West Liberty, Iowa Kathleen Richardson, 83, died on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. Kathleen was born May 24, 1931 in West Liberty the daughter of Bert and Lela Jarrett. Following the death of her father Bert, Lela was married to Phil Jarrett with whom she was raised. Kathleen was united in marriage to Ted Richardson on June 21, 1953 at the Cedar Valley United Methodist Church. Ted and Kathleen owned and operated Richardson’s Plumbing for over 40 years in West Liberty, she also had been employed the Cookies Restaurant and Country Cone Factory in West Liberty. She enjoyed bowling, sewing and her family. Kathleen is survived by two sons Daryl Richardson of Atalissa and Larry Richardson of Muscatine, 3 granddaughters Heather, Peggy and Nicole, 2 step-grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren. Two brothers: Lauren (Nona) Jarrett and Virgil (Nova) Jarrett both of Muscatine. She is preceded in death by her parents, step father Phil, husband Ted, son Roger, granddaughter Holly.
