Lone Tree, Iowa Marjorie Lee Morris, 86, died January 15, 2015 at the Pioneer Park Care Center in Lone Tree, Iowa. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. A memorial fund has been established. Marjorie was born on July 6, 1928 in Farmington, Iowa, the daughter of Ailleen and Herbert Haffner. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1946 and attended AIB College in Des Moines, Iowa. She was employed as a secretary during her career. She was united in marriage to Victor Thompson in February of 1950. She later married Edmund Morris in June of 1985. Marjorie was active in her church and sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing and baking for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed music and dancing, especially square dancing. She is survived by 3 daughters: Vicki (Larry) Ball of Hickory, North Carolina, Kerri (Larry) Sexton of Columbus Junction , Iowa and Glenda (Mark) Cook of Nichols, Iowa, 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Ginny Jurgensen of Ottumwa, IA and Norma Gregory of Ft. Madison, IA; a brother David Haffner of Springfield, Missouri and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edmund, an infant son and a grandson Myles.
