George Louis Kofron, 80, of Iowa City, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Solon Care Center.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Funeral services will follow immediately at 11 AM.

George was born on June 30, 1944, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of George and Margaret (Pochobradsky) Kofron. He graduated from West Branch High School in 1962 and went on to serve in the United States Army Reserves. A lifelong farmer, George dedicated his life to maintaining and working on the family farm.

George took pride in overhauling cars and tractors, he also enjoyed collecting firearms.

George is survived by his two sisters, Rose Kofron and Margaret Frances Kofron Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Kofron.
