Ulises Jacques, 30, of Altoona, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at his home. He will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, humor, deep love for his family, and dedication to his career in construction management.

Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty, followed by a Funeral Mass at 2 PM. Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home is caring for Ulises and his family during this difficult time.

Born on December 21, 1993, in Iowa City, Ulises was the beloved son of Victor Manuel Sr. and Manuela (Duarte) Jacques. He graduated from West Liberty High School and earned his degree in construction management from Kirkwood Community College.

In his free time, Ulises found joy in spending time with his beloved nieces and nephews, watching anime, and cheering for his favorite soccer team, Manchester United. His family and friends knew him as a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Ulises is survived by his parents, Victor and Manuela Jacques; his brothers, Victor (Vanessa) Jacques Jr., Jovany (Kassandra) Jacques, and Eder (Brisa) Jacques; his sisters, Tania Silva and Aylin Fernanda Mata; 10 nieces and nephews who adored him, as well as his dogs Zelda and Karma.
