Obituary of Earl Albert Strickler

Earl Albert Strickler, 68, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Crestview Specialty Care Center in West Branch.

A joy of life tribute will be held 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2nd floor conference room, 328 South Clinton Street, Iowa City.

Earl was born December 15, 1955 in Iowa City the son of Thomas Jon and Betty Marie (Schauf) Strickler.

Earl enjoyed tinkering with things and was a self-taught electronics repair person, often selling his repaired items at flea markets. He made many friends and was always willing to help others. Earl was a great storyteller, loved going to the VFW and enjoying shrimp.

He is lovingly survived by his siblings: Teresa (Kris) Dexter of Moses Lake, Washington, Alice (Mark Shelly) Ratliff of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Rebecca (Wayne) Hutsell of Moses Lake, Washington, David (Wendy) Strickler of Little Cedar, Iowa and Hidie (Daniel) Roach of Postville, Iowa. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jerry Strickler.
