West Liberty, Iowa Goldie M. Hayes, 93, died Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the West Liberty United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. Goldie was born December 13, 1920 in Macon County, Missouri, the daughter of Robert F. and Jesse Blankenship Connor. She was united in marriage to Eldon F. Hayes on August 3, 1945 in Berlin, Maryland. They moved to Iowa in 1972 after living in Wisconsin for many years. Goldie was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Hayes of West Liberty, a granddaughter Christina Hines and great grandchildren Mayson Connor O’Malley and Mikayla Lynnae Simmons, all of Lewistown, Missouri , and a sister Cordelia Connor of Portage, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Eldon.
